1 killed, 5 injured as car runs over pedestrians
Mumbai, Jun 3 (UNI) One person was killed and five others were injured when a car ran over them while they were crossing a road at Satrasta in southcentral Mumbai yesterday.
The deceased has been identified as Alpesh Suresh Gaikar (27).
Police said Alpesh was killed on the spot after being hit by the vehicle.
The injured have been admitted to the Nair Hospital here. They have been identified as Raju Chandra Tapal (28), Naziya Sagina Shaikh (55), Bhalchandra Kanojiya (45), Shabnoor Yunus (21) and Rajkukar Indarlal Nirmal (20).
The driver of the vehicle is absconding. But, the police have been informed about the registration number of the car.
