Exporters excellence awards for two AP companies

Hyderabad, Jun 2 (UNI) Vaani Carboxy Pvt Ltd, a Chemicals, Petrochemicals and Plastics company, and Sirius Overseas Pvt Ltd, a food and agro-products company, today received 'D&B-ECGC Indian Exporters Excellence Awards,' instituted for recognising the contribution of the exporters to the Indian economy.

The awards were sponsored by Dun and Bradstreet, the world's leading provider of global business information, knowledge and insight, in association with Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India Ltd (ECGC).

Dun and Bradstreet India also launched their inaugural publication on 'India's Leading Exporters,' which featured prominent exporters in India across 10 sectors in four revenue categories.

Of the 585 companies, shortlisted for the award, the study profiles of 122 companies, which included winners and runners up across various sectors and others were listed in this publication on various parameters such as ownership, prominent emerging export regions, export revenue, total turnover and net profit.

In a statement here, Dun and Bradstreet India President and CEO Manoj Vaish said, ''India has emerged as one of the fastest growing economies in the world with an average GDP growth rate of around nine per cent over the past two years and the Government of India has continuously emphasised the role of exports in order to achieve a sustained growth rate.'' ''The D&B-ECGC Indian Exporters Excellence Awards in conjunction with the publication are aimed at felicitating leading exporters from the 10 shortlisted export-oriented sectors. Besides documenting the individual success stories, the publication was also an endeavour to provide a platform for exporters across India and underscore some of their key achievements, thus highlighting their role in the economy.''
