Three killed, 9 seriously injured in theatre roof collapse

Bijapur, Karnataka, May 31(UNI) Three persons, including a teenager, were killed and nine others seriously injured when the roof of a small theater collapsed when a storm that accompanied rain struck Hattarakihala village in this district today.

Managooli police said during the annual village festival the villagers were watching a play when the storm struck and the tin roof of the old structure collapsed during the early hours today.

While two persons were killed on the spot another died in a hospital.

The injured had been shifted to district hospital.

The dead were identified as Mallakayappa Honnappa (12), Srishaila Basappa Dalavai (20) and Vinod Chandrashekarappa(25).
