Congress hopeful of moderation of prices in one week
New Delhi, May 30 (UNI) Despite the headline "inflation surging to 8.1 per cent, the Congress Party today said "the figure is very temporary and is attributable to rising oil prices." "It may come down next week," AICC Spokesman Abishek Manu Singhvi told mediapersons, while asserting that the government had done all that it could do to bring down prices.
He said the prices of several commodities had come down due to the whole spectrum of six initiatives taken by the government.
Dr Singhvi denied reports that there was lack of interaction among the UPA partners and the supporting Left parties over the measures taken to contain inflation.
