Brig BB Patil hands over charge of Sub Area to Brig PM Hariz

Jalandhar, May 28 (UNI) Jalandhar Cantonment Sub Area Commander Brig BB Patil today handed over the charge of 91 Sub Area to Brig PM Hariz.

The ceremony was attended by a large number of soldiers, ex-servicemen and civilian employees. Brig BB Patil, during his tenure has successfully performed multifarious duties in Jalandhar Cantonment which include the Station Commander, President Cantonment Board and the Chairman of Kendriya Vidyalayas.

During his period, 1512 ex-servicemen got job through Army Placement Agency. The ex-servicemen helpline was able to get the dues of the ex-servicemen to the tune of Rs 1.15 crore.

He personally motivated the ex-servicemen to join contributory health scheme, the membership of which stands more than 80,000 in area of 91 Sub Area. Now there are 39 empanelled hospitals for the treatment of ex-servicemen. The polyclinics are well equipped with best of doctors.

Brig BB Patil, with his interaction with state Government and Central Government was able to get land and grants for ECHS Polyclinics.

His interaction with the civil administration was par excellence with his efforts he was able to get an experienced officer detailed from the state government for cantonment board elections. The schools in the Cantonment, be it Kendriya Vidyalayas or Cantonment Board schools got a major face lift and improvement in the quality of education.
