Two women killed, 26 injured as overloaded vehicle turns turtle

Sultanpur, May 26 (UNI) Two women were crushed to death and 26 others grievously injured after a tractor-trolly turned turtle in the Jagdishpur area here this evening.

The incident occurred near Dadu nalah, where an overloaded tractor-trolly lost control over the wheels and overturned, killing Surajpati (45) and Shyamavati (35) on the spot.

The vehicle was carrying 28 people from Kauchit village to Alinagar, police said.

The injured were admitted to district hospital, where four were stated critical and referred to Lucknow Trauma Centre.
