Navi Mumbai, May 26 (UNI) Prices of wholesale sugar today rallied by Rs 15 per quintal on bulk consumers and retailers demand on reduced stock arrivals from co-operative mills, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants Association said.

Prices of small and medium grades rose by Rs 15 and Rs ten per quintal respectively on reduced offers by stockists due to paucity of stocks at the terminal markets.

Similarly, prices of ex-mill small and medium grades also gained by Rs 10 each, on improved demand from dealers in the face of reduced ready stocks at the domestic centres, traders added.

Ex-mill small grade: Rs 1,440/1,460 and medium grade: Rs 1,455/1,498.
