Sadhvi taken in custody over missing college girl

Ambala, May 26 (UNI) Facing the charges of alleged detention of a 'missing' college girl, the local branch head of the Paramhans Advait Mandir Anandpur, Sadhvi Gian Sheetlanand a.k.a 'Bai ji' was taken into custody for interrogation by the Ambala Cantonment Police today.

Som Parkash, father of the girl in a complaint had alleged that his daughter who used to go to temple along with other family members for worship, was called by the temple head Gian Sheetlanand 'Bai ji' yesterday and had not returned since.

He further alleged that when he went to enquire about his daughter, no satisfactory reply was given.

Som Prakash further alleged that the Sadhvi had earlier proposed marriage of his daughter Sujata with one of her follower which he had declined.

He alleged that his daughter was kidnapped by the boy's family in connivance with Sadhvi Baiji.

A Police team headed by the DSP Rajesh Sharma and the SHO detained Bai ji and brother of the boy for interrogation after registering the case under Section 366, 120b against them.

However, Bai ji was let off since she complained of heart ailment and would be interrogated again.
