Rs 655 cr loans in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, May 26 (UNI) A target has been set for disbursing Rs 655 crore as loans to Chhattisgarh's farmers during the kharif season, official sources said here today.

Primary credit societies would be the medium for disbursing short-term loans at 6 per cent for purchasing quality seeds, fertiliser, medicine, sowing and harvesting.

In the first fortnight of this month, more than Rs 95 cr were disbursed and interest would be calculated from next month.
