Raje meets Governor to brief on Gujjar agitation

Jaipur, May 26 (UNI) Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today met Governor Shilendra Kumar Singh to brief him about the ongoing Gujjar agitation for ST status.

Ms Raje went to Rajbhawan in the evening after holding a Cabinet meeting earlier in the day.

The Chief Minister remained with the Governor for about 45 minutes.

Ms Raje's meeting with Mr Singh assumes significance in view of a Congress delegation meeting him to submit a memorandum to demand the government's resignation and the Governor's intervention in the matter.
