President to arrive on six-day tour of HP tomorrow

Shimla, May 26 (UNI) President Pratibha Patil will arrive here on her maiden six-day tour of Himachal Pradesh tomorrow, official sources said today.

Ms Patil would stay at The Retreat, the president's official residence, about 16 km from here, after landing at the Kalyani helipad tomorrow, the sources told UNI here.

They said a civic reception would be held in her honour on Wednesday at the historic The Ridge Maidan here.

On Thursday, she would leave for the tourist resort of Manali along with her family and return the next day.

The sources said while her family would visit Chail, about 30 km from here, on Saturday, the President would stay back at her official residence until Sunday when she would leave for New Delhi.
