President dedicates JU campus at Bhaderwah to people

Bhaderwah, May 26 (UNI) President Pratibha Patil today dedicated the newly-established extension campus of Jammu University in the hilly township of Bhaderwah to people.

Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and Vice-Chancellor Prof Amitabh Mattoo received the President, who landed here after rescheduling her cancelled visit to this picturesque township due to bad weather yesterday.

A ceremonial guard of honour by state police was presented to Ms Patil on her arrival at 1315 hrs.

Flanked by Governor Lt Gen (Retd) S K Sinha, the President also went around the campus building at Sumbli area of the town.

Tight security measures were put in place for the VVIP visit.
