Police seize three revolvers, businessman held

Thiruvananthapuram, May 26 (UNI) Police today arrested a businessman and seized three revolvers and about 100 cartridges from him at Makkaraparamba, near Malappuram.

Police said on a tip-off, a special squad, led by Circle Inspector Abdulkhader, arrested T Noorduddin from Perinthalmanna and recovered a 1.38 Brazil made revolver from his car.

After a thorough interrogation, police also seized a US made 0.54 revolver, which he had sold to another person at Pattambi in Palakkad Distrct, a 6.35 Chinese made pen type revolver and catrdiges from his house.

Nooruddin was doing textile business in China and Gulf countries, and in Kerala.

The guns were purchased during his business visit to China and were used for his personal safety. However, he had not obtained license for using it, police said.
