MP tribal women pick up weopons to combat dacoits

Bhopal, May 26 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh's tribal women are poised to pick up weapons to combat dacoits.

This pledge was taken by more than a dozen tribal women at a women empowerment function in Rewa. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has provided arms license to tribal women in a function recently. Mr Chouhan gave a citation to the tribal women.

''Men are not the sole source of income in the family now women also forayed in the financial sector resulting in families' prosperity,'' the tribal women said.
