International Textile conference in Coimbatore

Coimbatore, May 26 (UNI) The Institute of Environmental and Human Health, Texas Tech University, and the city-based Avinashilingam University are jointly organising a three-day fifth Annual Advances in Textiles, Machinery, Non-woven and Technical Textiles (ATNT 2008) international conference here from July 14.

Speaking about the growth opportunities of Non-woven and technical textiles in India, Texas Tech University Professor Seshadri Ramkumar predicted that India would defy the existing non-woven growth theory and grow exponentially from 2035. In the technical textile industry, the country's growth in the next two decades would be faster than the one witnessed by the US and Europe in the last three decades.

He said the conference would attract a large number of developed countries in view of the large size of the Indian market.
