AP Minister condmens attack on daily's office

Hyderabad,May 26 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for Information and Public Relations Aanam Ramanarayana Reddy today strongly condemned the attack on the Head Office and branches of Telugu daily ''Andhrajyothi'' in the State by suspected MRPS activists who damaged furniture and set fire to the front office.

In a statement, he termed the incident as attack of the freedom of the press.

He said there were so many ways to express the protest in a democratic set up but the physical attacks on media was totally objectionable.

Stating the government was committed to press freedom,he said it would not tolerate similar incidents and stern action would be taken against the culprits.
