3 members of a family killed, one injured in road accident

Vadodara, May 26 (UNI) Three members of family were killed and another person injured when their motorbike was hit by a speeding truck on National Highway no eight, at Alamgir Patiya near here today.

The incident occurred this afternoon when Bhavesh Patanvadia and his family were returning from Alamgir village to Vadodara after attending a function, police said.

Bhavesh's wife Aruna (28), daughter Prachi (3) and son Preet (2) died on the spot, while Bhavesh, who has sustained serious injuries, was admitted to a city hospital. His condition is stated to be critical.

Driver of the truck is absconding, police added.
