Man's bid to solemnise second marriage fails

Pathalgaon, Chhattisgarh, May 21 (UNI) A man, who attempted to solemnise his second marriage in a church here, was exposed when his first wife sent a written complaint to the priest.

Raigarh district's Kersai village-resident Antony Toppo's marriage was fixed with Bilaspur-resident Satyen Ekka. Rituals were underway at the church when his first wife Shalini complained to the priest in writing that they had married earlier with Hindu rituals and had a child.

Shalini also produced photographs in this regard. Satyen was beaten up after being exposed. Later, he fled along with his relatives. A case has been registered on the complaint of the woman.
