Girl dies, six injured in roof collapses in Jagadhri

Jagadhri, May 20 (UNI) A girl died and six were injured today in separate incidents due to inclement weather in this district.

A girl died and her mother and four siblings were injured when the roof of their home collapsed in Green Vihar here.

According to police, a woman Munni Bai was sleeping in the house with her five children when the wall of their room gave way, due to which it collapsed on the sleeping members of the family.

The neighbours rushed the injured to a nearby hospital where 12-year-old Parul succumbed to her injuries. Her mother and other siblings were, however, recovering, hospital sources said.

In another incident in Gandhi Nagar colony, 10-year-old Puja was injured when the roof of her makeshift home fell. She has been admitted to a hospital.

The police has registered cases in both the incidents.
