Girl dies, many injured in roof collapses in Jagadhri

Jagadhri, May 20 (UNI) A girl died and her mother and four siblings were injured when the roof of their home collapsed early today in Green Vihar in this district following inclement weather last night.

According to police, a woman Munni Bai was sleeping in the house with her five children when the wall of their room gave way due to which the roof collapsed on the sleeping members of the family.

The neighbours rushed the injured to a nearby hospital where 12-year-old Parul succumbed to her inuries. Her mother and other siblings were however, recovering, hospital sources said.

In another incident in Gandhi Nagar colony, 10-year-old Puja was injured when the roof of her makeshift home fell this morning. She has been admitted to a hospital.

Police has registered case in both incidents.
