APCC serves show cause notice to 3 more MLAs
Itanagar, May 20 (UNI) The Disciplinary Action Committee (DAC) of Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) for the May 26 rural polls has served show cause notices to three more MLAs for allegedly involving in anti-party activities. Party sources said here today that DAC chairman Talo Mugli has served the notices to Roding Pertin, C P Namchoom and Kito Sora asking them to reply within three days.
The DAC had earlier served show cause notices to Nani Ribia, Lokam Tassar, Nido Pavitra and Techi Hemu.
While Mr Pavitra (Independent) was disassociated from the party for his failure to reply within the stipulated time, the rest three MLAs pleaded innocence in their replies.
Mr Mugli also informed mediapersons that the notices were served on complaints received from District Congress Committee (DCC) and Block Congress Committee (BCC) against the MLAs.
Meanwhile, a group of Congress functionaries from the Palin Assembly coinstituency under Kurung Kumey district has demanded removal of Congress Panchayat Election Committee vice-chairman Takam Sanjoy.
In a letter to the APCC president, the functionaries alleged that Sanjoy was maliciously involved in expelling some of the veteran public leaders from Palin, besides anti-party activities.
