10 killed, 8 injured in two road mishaps in Karnataka
Bangalore, May 18 (UNI) Ten people, including two women and a six year old boy, were killed in two road mishaps in Karnataka today.
Police said that Six people were killed and three others injured when a car in which they were traveling collided with a lorry at Nagnur Village of Kundapur Taluk in Mangalore District.
The victims were on a pilgrimage to Dharmastala from Honnavara when the mishap occurred. The injured were admitted to a hospital.
In another mishap, four people, including two women and a six-year-old boy, were killed, when a Tata Sumo in which they were traveling, rammed against a parked truck after hitting its driver who was crossing the road for having Tea, at Hiriyur bypass in Chitradurga District.
The truck driver Subramani, hailing from Tamil Nadu, and three others died on the spot.
The injured were admitted to government hospital in Hiriyur.
The victims were bound for Bellary from Bangalore when the mishap occurred.
