24-year-old youth charred to death in factory fire

New Delhi, May 16 (UNI) A 24-year-old youth was charred to death when fire broke out in a cardboard factory in Moti Nagar area of west Delhi early today.

Fire Brigade sources said the charred remains of the man, was recovered after the fire was put-off at 0530 hrs.

The victim was later identified as Manoj, who worked in the cardboard factory.

The body was handed over to the police.

A dozen fire tenders battled for nearly an hour to douse the flames which began at the Sudarshan Park factory at about 0430 hrs.

The cause of the fire was not known as yet, it added.
