Women cadres of proscribed CPI(M) arrested

Gaya, May 15 (UNI) The Bihar police today arrested four women hardcore cadres of the proscribed outfit CPI(Maoist), following a fierce encounter near Kaleswari peak in this naxal-infested South Bihar district.

Police said acting on a tip-off, they arrived on the spot where an encounter ensued with the female cadres of the outfit, who had assembled near the peak for a possible operation.

Initially, the ultras tried to escape but later four of them fell into the police trap and were arrested, police said, adding ''they also recovered three rifles, several rounds of live cartridges, a jute bag, a cell phone, incriminating literatures and several other critical materials from their posession.'' The arrested cadres were being interrogated, police said.
