Congress complains to CEC against Yeddyurappa
Bangalore, May 13 (UNI) Congress today filed a complaint with the Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) to initiate action against BJP leader B S Yeddyurappa for whip up religious sentiments during the campaign in the ongoing Assembly elections.
Party spokesperson V S Ugrappa said in a release that the BJP leader's refencece to the saffron party as the party of 'Lord Sri Rama' and the Congress and JD(S) that of 'Ravana', was an attempt to create communal unrest and divide the society on communal lines.
"Congress has appealed to the CEO to initiate legal action against Mr Yaddyurappa and prevent him and his partymen from wooing the voters on religius lines," he said.
