Hooda govt discriminating against minorities, Punjabis: INLD

Karnal, May 12 (UNI) Rajya Sabha MP and former chairman of National Minority Commission Tarlochan Singh today accused the Hooda government of discriminating against the minorities and the Punjabi community.

While addressing the various election meetings in favour of Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) candidate Dr Ashok Kashyap at Indri today, Mr Singh said notification according the second language status to the Punjabi language has not yet been issued by the Congress government, even though the assembly had passed the bill during the Chautala regime.

Mr Singh claimed Mr Om Parkash Chautala is the only political friend of Sikh community in Haryana. He said Sikhs have not forgotten the atrocities committed during the Congress regime of Mr Bhajan Lal.

INLD candidate for Adampur, Prof Sampat Singh campaigned in different villages of Adampur today. He criticized the opportunistic and defection politics of Mr Bhajan Lal.

He also condemned the ''misuse'' of official machinery by the Congress government.

INLD secretary general and Rajya Sabha MP, Ajay Singh Chautala and INLD state president, Ashok Arora campaigned in Gohana today and sought vote in favour of INLD candidate Dr K C Bangar.
