'E-cops' to assist police in detecting crimes
Kakinada, May 11 (UNI) 'E-cops,' an online network facility which serves as a ready reckoner on the status of different cases, would help police personnel to detect various crimes, East Godavari Superintendent of Police Y Nagireddi said today.
Inaugurating e-cops training classes for police personnel at the district police office here, he said it was necessary for every policemen to have knowledge in computer and its applications.
The e-cops network facility would be available at all the police stations in the district from May 21.
Additional Superintendent of Police Ranga Nath said the data on case histories would be updated at the e-cops. He also advised the police personnel of all ranks to make the best use of the network in effective investigation of crimes.
