Goa govt gears up to fight outbreak of diseases this monsoon
Panaji, May 10 (UNI) Goa Government is gearing-up to fight outbreak of diseases like dengue, chikungunia, fever, Japanese Encephalitis during the monsoon.
In a meeting of Emergency Action Committee held under the Chairmanship of North Goa Collector Mr R Mihir Vardhan, it was decided to create awareness among people about the dreadful diseases.
Handbills on prevention and control of diseases tasks will be printed. Programme will be held on All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan regarding the same.
Messages will also be spread through cable network and public meetings to eliminate mosquito breeding places. Talks would be conducted in schools and colleges and door-to-door house-visits by Health Centre staff will take place in the outbreak affected areas.
