Fierce firing on Indo-Pak IB at Samba in J

Jammu, May 9 (UNI) An infiltration bid from Pakistan side was foiled by the BSF troops, after a fierce firing on the International Border (IB) at Samba sector last night, an official spokesman today said.

Troops of 112 BSF battalion were fired upon heavily from across the border, when they challenged a suspected movement on the other side of fence at Glar area, late last night.

''The fire was equally retaliated by the troops and the armed infiltrators fled from the spot,'' the spokesman told UNI.

Around 400-500 rounds were exchanged from both the sides on the IB, he added.
