Mulayam to fight from 'lucky' constituency in L S election
Mainpuri, May 7 (UNI) Samajwadi Party supremo and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav will fight the upcoming Lok Sabha election from Mainpuri constituency.
Mr Yadav, who had contested the last election from Budaun, will now fight from his 'lucky' constituency, SP MP Mr Dharmendra Yadav said.
In 1996 the SP supremo won the Mainpuri seat and became the Defence minister of the country. In 2004, he became the UP Chief Minister after winning from here.
However, after becoming the Chief Minister, he resigned from the Mainpuri seat.
As per the party's directives, Mr Dharmendra will now contest from Budaun seat.
