Two AN-32 to carry eight tonnes of relief stores to Myanmar
New Delhi, May 6 (UNI) Two Indian Air Force (IAF) AN-32 aircraft would tomorrow carry about eight tonnes of relief material to the cyclone-hit Myanmar.
Out of the two aircraft, one belonging to the Para Training School, Agra, would be carrying four tonnes of tentage material from Kanpur to Yangon, an IAF spokesperson said.
Wg Cdr H Goswami would captain this mission, he added.
The other aircraft would depart here for Yangon with about four tonnes of medicines and tents. Wg Cdr Jay Mitra would be the Captain of this mission, the spokesman said.
Both the AN-32s would be refueling at Kolkata and are expected to reach their destination by tomorrow afternoon, he added.
