Kishtwar death toll rises to 11, two more bodies recovered

Jammu, May 4 (UNI) With the recovery of two more bodies, the death toll of landslide victims in tehsil Chattroo of Kishtwar district has risen to 11 as the rescue operation was still in progress, police sources here today said.

''The rescue operation is in full swing and the debris has been cleared. Two more bodies were recovered today,'' police sources told UNI adding that the operation is still in progress as recovery of a couple of bodies cannot be ruled out.

At least eleven people were killed as three vehicles carrying over a dozen labourers were buried under a heavy landslide on road at Salaran in Chhatru area of hilly Kishtwar district on May 1.
