SAIL bags ICWAI National Award'07 for excellence in cost management
New Delhi, May 3 (UNI) Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) won the National Award for Excellence in Cost Management 2007 from the 'Institute of Cost and Works Accountant of India (ICWAI)' The award was in the category 'Public sector manufacturing organisation with turnover more than Rs 1000 crore'. Soiles Bhattacharya, Director (Finance), SAIL, received the prestigious award from the Company Affairs Minister Prem Chand Gupta, at a function held here yesterday.
Also, SAIL's Rourkela Steel Plant was adjudged the runner-up by ICWAI for the award in the category of 'Public sector manufacturing unit with turnover more than Rs 1000 crore'.
