Net 4 India subsidiary bags SBO licence in Singapore

New Delhi, May 2 (UNI) Net 4 India Ltd today said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Net 4 Singapore Pte Ltd, has received the service based operator (SBO) licence in Singapore to start VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) services.

Under the licence, the company will now be able to provide a range of enhanced retail and wholesale VoIP services, a company statement said.

The new division headquartered in Singapore, will primarily manage the companies international wholesale VoIP business.

Net 4 also has plans to establish a new PoP (Point of Presence) in Singapore for VoIP-related services that includes International Calling Card Service (ICC), Toll Free Services, IP Telephony services.

The subsidiary will also be in a position to provide VPN Voice/data network services.

The PoP will be interconnected to various local and International carriers who have presence in Singapore, which will help Net 4 to provide an enhanced service quality to its entire client base.

Net 4 will leverage the multiple cable systems like Network i2i, SeMeWe4, Asia America Gateway, APCN2, EAC and C2C that aggregates at Singapore which is the Asia-International hub for many carriers.
