BDR allegedly abducted two Indian nationals
Agartala, Apr 30 (UNI) The Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) today allegedly kidnapped two Indian nationals from Khedabari in South Tripura while they were working in their fields under the Sreerampara BSF border outpost.
A BSF spokesperson said, ''The two Indian citizens Ranjit Das and Nobodip Das were reportedly working inside the fencing area in their respective fields in the Indian territory nearly 10 yards from the international border when some BDR troops rushed in from the other side of the border and took them away forcibly at gunpoint to the Bangladeshi side.
''Apparently, the incident took place within the Indian side and it seems the BDR acted without any provocation,'' the BSF spokesperson added.
Meanwhile, the BSF and BDR had held two meetings in this regard so far but no solution could be reached at and the kidnapped persons remained untraceble.
