Fire in chemical factory destroys chemicals worth Rs 7 lakh

Kanpur 29 Apr (UNI) Chemicals worth over Rupees one lakh were destroyed in a major fire which broke out in a chemical factory at Rattupurwa Transport Nagar here today.

According to chief fire officer of U P fire services, five fire engines from diferent fire stations took two hours to extinguish the flames.

A huge stock of thinner and other chemicals were kept in a godown of the factory which caught fire.

The cause behind the fire and exact losses were under investigation, fire service sources said.
