Court orders release of Chopper
Gulbarga, Apr 28 (UNI) District and Sessions Judge Joshi today ordered the release of the helicopter, seized by the police on April 26 on charges of trespassing and landing without permission at the District Armed Reserve Force (DARF) grounds.
As per the courts direction, the helicopter owner Escorts Company deposited Rs 13 crore, before flying it back to Bangalore.
The helicopter, in which KPCC President Mallikarjun Kharge arrived here from Bangalore to address the party workers, was impounded on a complaint filed by the DARF Deputy Superintendent of Police.
Judge Joshi had directed the police to produce the inquiry report and two photographs of the helicopter besides directing the owner to deposit Rs 13 crore for the release.
