Road damaged in South Mumbai

Mumbai, Apr 26 (UNI) A huge crater on the highway at Girgaum in South Mumbai formed due the repair work carried out by the BMC, has caused a huge traffic jam today.

According to civic officials, the crater was formed when the BMC workers were carrying out repair work of the water pipes in the area. However, the workers were not able to find the fault in pipe line and continued to dig the road when a part of the road surface fell off forming the pit.

The crater has lead to a huge traffic jam and the vehicles are being diverted to other routes.
