Panchayat official convicted in bribery case

Hyderabad, Apr 26 (UNI) The Special Judge for ACB cases, Vijayawada, today convicted Divisional Panchayat Officer of Guntur District in a bribery case and sentenced her to undergo one year rigorous imprisonment and pay a fine of Rs 1,000.

M Rudramma was trapped by the ACB official when she accepted Rs 500 as bribe from a complainant on June four, 2004, an official release said here.
