Man's burnt body found in Vikaspuri

New Delhi, Apr 21 (UNI) Panic gripped in Vikaspuri residential area this morning after residents saw an unconscious man lying burning in the vicinity.

The matter was brought to the police at about 0730 hrs by local residents of the DG Block in west Delhi's Vikaspuri area where the body was lying, according to the police.

He was rushed to the hospital where he was declared 'brought dead'.

His feet were found tied and body partially burnt.

A senior police official said a case under sections 302 (murder), 201 (destruction of evidence) has been registered and investigations begun.

The identity of the man, about 30 years of age, was yet to be ascertained, the official added.
