Tibetans begin next leg of protest march to Tibet
New Delhi, Apr 19 (UNI) Carrying pictures of the Dalai Lama, Tibetan flags and ''Free Tibet'' banners, more than 200 exiled Tibetans and Buddhist monks today began the next leg of their protest march to Tibet.
The rally, which began on March 10 from Dharamsala, the seat of the Tibetan government-in-exile, was stopped for some time but restarted on March 15.
The marchers are likely to cover about 20 kilometers each day and their next stop is expected to be Ghaziabad in the NCR region.
''We have started the next leg of the peaceful protest.
We want to reach Tibet by the commencement of the Olympics,'' said T Lopsang, a marcher.
He said local police was accompanying the walk till they crossed over into Uttar Pradesh.
