Minor raped in West Delhi, hunt on for accused
New Delhi, Apr 14 (UNI) In a second incident of rape of a minor in two days, a two-and-a-half-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 22-year-old youth in West Delhi, police said today.
The minor, a resident of Raghubeer Nagar in West Delhi, was allegedly raped by Lallan Das late last night at her house at around 2200 hrs, DCP (West) Sharad Agarwal said.
According to a complaint lodged by the mother of the girl, Lallan, the brother-in-law of a nearby tea stall owner Rajesh, entered their house on the pretext of taking care of the child since all members of the family were busy in the fourth day ceremony of the girl's grandfather and later raped her.
Hunt is on for Lallan, who has been absconding since the incident.
Meanwhile, the tea stall owner Rajesh has been detained for questioning.
This is the second incident of a rape of a minor in the last two days.
On Saturday night, a mentally challenged minor girl was allegedly raped by an acquaintance in East Delhi's Kondli area.
Sandeep Rawat, a 27-year-old mini-bus driver, allegedly raped the 12-year-old girl in New Kondli area.
