TN CM announces Rs 2 lakh solatium to bereaved family
Chennai, Apr 13 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today announced a solatium of Rs two lakh to the family of Army Engineer Govindasamy, who was killed in suicide bomb attack in the war-torn Afghanistan yesterday.
Expressing shock and anguish over the incident, Mr Karunanidhi conveyed his heart-felt condolences to the bereaved family, and announced an assistance of Rs two lakh from the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund, an official release said here today.
Mr Govindasamy, hailing from K Thippanapalli village in Krishnagiri district, was among the two Indians killed while taking up rehabilitation works when the suicide bomber attacked.
