Thirty-eight fishermen rescued from sinking boat
Kozhikode, Apr 9 (UNI) Local fishermen rescued 38 of their colleagues from a sinking fishing boat off south Tanur coast, in Malappuram district.
Coast Guard sources here said, the fishing boat 'Izrak,' carrying 38 men on board sank after it caught fire due to short circuit five nautical miles off the coast yesterday.
Local fishermen on getting an SOS, rushed to the spot and rescued them, the sources added.
