SUCI state secretary Provash Ghosh denies allegations
Kolkata, Apr 9 (UNI) Socialist Unity Centre of India (SUCI) state secretary Provash Ghosh today denied the allegations levelled against him by party state leader Bidhan Chatterjee and claimed that the latter had lost his ''mental balance''.
''Certain allegations have been raised against Mr Chatterjee about his anti-party activities and so we called him yesterday to attend the meeting at the party headquarters. However, he did not turn up,'' Mr Ghosh told newspersons here.
Mr Chatterjee had been missing since April 7 and wrote a letter raising moral allegations against the party leadership and even threatened to commit suicide.
''Mr Chatterjee's allegations against me and the party are false and he has lost his mental balance,'' Mr Ghosh said.
He said the party had also lodged an FIR against Mr Chatterjee with the Behala police station.
Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police Praveen Kumar said an investigation was started in the matter.
