Indian Navy becomes first in world to complete Three Poles
New Delhi, Apr 9 (UNI) The Indian Navy has become the first organisation in the world to complete the Three Poles after its expedition team successfully finished the North Pole trek.
The Indian Navy North Pole Expedition team is the first Indian to ski traverse to the Geographic North Pole.
It is also the first Indian team to complete the Three Pole challenge.
The team became the first Indian Everest Summiteers to the South and North Poles.
Navy Chief Admiral Sureesh Mehta is likely to honour the team members at a ceremony here tomorrow.
