Punjab Police on the heals of cocaine smuggler
Amritsar, Apr 6 (UNI) The Punjab Police has sought the assistance of the Rajasthan Police in nabbing notorious smuggler, Kapil Kumar, a resident of the Sikar district of the neighbouring state.
Confirming this development, an official spokesman said that Kapil Kumar had sent the two kg contraband of cocaine which was seized by the police near Jandiala in the last week of March. The two carriers of the contraband, Rajnish Kumar and Bhawar Lal, both residents of Sikar district were taken into custody by the police.
Rajnish and Bhawar are both associates of Kapil Kumar, who is involved in contract farming of poppy in Churu district of Rajasthan.
The local contact of Kapil Kumar is Ashok Kumar a resident of Verka town, who is also absconding since the seizure.
