3rd Patna film fest to begin from April 5
Patna, Apr 3(UNI) The state capital is all set to host the third Patna film festival from April five.
Addressing a press conference here today state Information Minister Arjun Rai said, ''The festival will be inaugrated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the films will be screened at Regent cinema.'' The seven-day long film festival will offer the movie-buffs a comprehensive package of four Bhojpuri, seven Hindi, and six foreign language films besides five Hindi classics and one children film.
Film director Prakash Jha of 'Gangajal' and 'Apaharan', Meera Nair of 'Salaam Bombay' along with actor Manoj Bajpayee and NFDC chair- person Usha Nair are expected to attend the festival, closing on April 11.
Mr Rai further informed that his department will also offer a short course on film appreciation.
''The film festival will open with Amir Khan's directorial debut ''Tare Zameen par'' and conclude with a seminar on the development of Bhojpuri cinema,'' the minister stated.
Films like 'Chak De India', 'Jab We Met', 'Salaam Bombay', 'Bheja Fry', 'Khosala Ka Ghosla' and several others.
