Jaswant for official recognition of Rajasthani languate

Jaipur, Mar 31 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Jaswant Singh today advocated for official recognition of Rajasthani (Marwari)language.

Delivering welcome note at inaugural session in the two day BJP state executive meeting here today, Mr Singh said that most of the regional languages including Punjabi and Gujarati were enjoying due official recognition.

He said that several years ago he had made representation before our leader Mr LK Advani in this regard and the latter had contested his view logically.

But logics only could not satisfy sentiments of Rajasthanis who were still campaigning for getting constitutional recognition for Marwari language.

Mr Advani was also present at the meeting as chief guest.
