Diamond Cables bags Gujarat order

New Delhi, Mar 31 (UNI) Diamond Cables Ltd today said it has received a turnkey order for implementation of Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Vidyutikaran Yojna (RGGY) for Ahmedabad and Sabarkantha districts of Gujarat.

''The project will entail providing power to about 62,000 consumers resulting in setting up of 322 transformer centres, erection and commissioning of distribution lines aggregating 480 kms,'' a company statement said.

The project is expected to be completed within 22 months.

The firm has also bagged contracts in Vadodara, Anand and Bhavnagar districts of the state, it added.
